Job Purpose:
The Western Cape Government is seeking to employ a Administrative Officer with good adminstration and communication skills.

This individual must take initiative, be innovative, honest and reliable. This position is based in Cape Town.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A relevant B-Degree/National (or equivalent qualification).
  • Recommendation 3 years’ experience in Project Mananagement
  • Collation and management of information flow

Key Performance Areas:

  • Coordinate the implementation of Youth Safety and Religious Programme

Remuneration: R 211 194– R 248 781 per annum.

Requirements:
Minimum educational qualification:

Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.

Experience:
Appropriate experience in Supply Chain and Asset Management.
Appropriate experience in LOGIS system.

Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel).
Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of policies regarding Financial and Supply Chain Management principles.
Management/Asset Management, LOGIS functions/Modules in LOGIS.
Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Duties (key results areas/outputs):

Maintain and update asset register.
Procure assets and services adjudicated and ensure all transactions comply with the legislative requirements.
Manage asset movements, inventory updates and bar-coding.
Undertake Interim and Annual Financial Stock takes, reporting of losses, theft, shortages and surpluses.
Ensure disposals of assets pertaining to SCM policies and procedures.
Assist with monthly reporting processes, as well as IFS and AFS reporting.
