Job Purpose:

The Trainee Store Manager will be expected to maintain top standards in all areas of responsibility:

o Customer service
o The achievement of sales targets and quality standards on the sales floor
o Shrinkage and cost control
o Day-to-day store administration and the pro-active management
o Motivation and training of your team members

 

Qualifications:

o Matric or Equivalent
o A relevant tertiary qualification such as a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Management will be an advantage.
o We will also consider your performance in the current role you are performing.

 

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS required:

Applicants for the position will need to meet the following minimum requirements:

o You will represent and be a custodian of the brand of our store
o Be energetic and a self starter
o 2 Years retail experience which includes at least one year in a Supervisory and or Management position
o Outstanding merchandise managemen, stock and cost control skills
o A focus on customer service
o The capacity to maintain high score standards and
o A proven ability to influence and lead a team
o Develop yourself and your fellow team members
o Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) and competence in a second official language would be a definite advantage
