Minimum requirement:

Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Experience:
Appropriate experience as a Driver.

Inherent requirements of the job:
Code (B/EB) driver’s licence. (New credit card licence is compulsory).
Access to lock-up garage at residence or behind locked gates.
Willingness to work shifts and night duty.
Willingness to work overtime.
Willingness to perform stand-by duties.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
The Ability to communicate effectively in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
The ability to accept accountability and responsibility and to work independently and unsupervised.
Code (B/EB) driver’s licence. (New credit card licence is compulsory).
Good knowledge of road network in the Peninsula.
knowledge of transport Cricular U2-33-2009.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Transport goods and services/personnel from one point to another.
Responsible for completion of vehicle log sheets.
Assist Transport Officer with basic administrative and general tasks.
Responsible for basic maintenance of vehicles (i.e. cleaning, reporting of defects, take vehicles for services and repairs.
