Job Purpose:
To be responsible for the administration of the finance aspect of the Fixed Asset processes.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Essential:
– Grade 12 (Accounting and/ or Maths)
Preferred:
– Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
KNOWLEDGE required:
- Good knowledge of Fixed Assets processes
- Good knowledge of financial administration and basic accounting principles and their application (debits, credits, journals, reconciliations)
SKILLS required:
- Computer skills, intermediate to advanced Excel
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Attention to detail
- Above average numerical ability
- Deadline driven, and ability to work under pressure
- Able to deal with large volumes of work
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential:
– 2 -3 years relevant finance administration experience, including strong reconciliation experience
Preferred:
– Retail experience
– Fixed Assets experience
Key Responsibilities:
Fixed Asset Administration
- Processing of Fixed Assets on Smart stream
- Processing orders on Fraxion and ensuring correct cost centres and categories are allocated
- Process disposals and transfers on Fixed Asset Register
- Prepare and follow up of General Ledger reconciliations including Pre-paid accounts.
- Reconcile, follow up and clear transactions in transport account
- Prepare bulk upload sheet for fixed assets
- Assist with balancing costings with actual spent for projects
- Store closures – draw asset register for Property Manager
- Assist with general queries
- Other administration and support duties
