  • Grade 12 (Accountancy and/ or Mathematics)
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree)
  • 2 -3 years relevant finance administration experience, including strong reconciliation experience
  • Previous experience within a retail environment would be advantageous

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Good knowledge of financial administration and basic accounting principles (debits, credits, journals, reconciliations) and their application (finance systems)
  • Computer skills, intermediate to advanced Excel

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury & Cashflow management:

  • Perform daily cash flow duties in accordance with agreed upon procedures
  • Record daily bank account movement on bank summaries
  • Prepare and capture monthly bank journals (SA, BLNS countries)

Bank reconciliation:

  • Review of monthly bank reconciliations
  • Query, resolve and journalise reconciling items
  • Communication reconciling items across teams

Filing & Administration:

  • Daily & monthly filing duties
  • Downloading of on-line electronic bank statements for all bank accounts
  • Filing of financial information and documentation in line with statutory and legal requirements. (e.g. Electronic & Manual Bank statements & Cash flow documentation)
  • Perform bulk sale bank deposit confirmations for stores (upon stores’ request).
