Minimum educational qualification:

  • Senior Certificate (or equivalent).


  • Appropriate administrative experience.

Inherent requirement of the job:

Competencies (knowledge/skills):

  • Computer literate in (MS Office).
  • Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Accountability.
  • Knowledge of Primary Health Care Information System/Clinicom.
  • Knowledge of Hospital Fees Structure: Chapter 18.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):

  • Register and capture patient information on the Primary Health Care Information System (PHCIS).
  • Recordkeeping, filing, retrieving, tracing of folders, destruction and opening folders.
  • Operate the Switchboard.
  • Manage Enquiries.
  • Cash management.
  • Collect and collate of statistics.
  • Switchboard and patient enquiries.
