Job Purpose The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to provide general administrative support services. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.
Minimum Requirements Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification).

Key Performance Areas Render general clerical support services; Record, organize, store, capture, and retrieve correspondence and data (line function); Handle routine inquiries; Provide personnel administration clerical support services within the component; Provide financial administration support services in the component.
Competencies A good understanding of the following: Legislative framework governing the Public Service; Working procedures in terms of the working environment; Skills needed: Verbal and written communication; Proven computer literacy (MS Office); Planning and organizing.
Remuneration R 173 703 per annum (Salary Level 5) Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Job Purpose: The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to provide an effective and efficient administrative and secretarial support service within Agricultural Producer Support and Development. This post is stationed in Central Karoo – Prince Albert.
Minimum Requirements:  Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification).
Recommendation Relevant experience: Experience in creating, maintaining, and administering information databases.

 

Key Performance Areas:

  • Updating of registers and statistics;
  • Handling routine enquires;
  • Make photocopies and receive or send emails/facsimiles;
  • Distribute documents/packages to various stakeholders as required;
  • Keep and maintain the filling system for projects in the sub-directorate: Type letters and/or other correspondence when required;
  • Keep and maintain the incoming and outgoing document register of the component;
  • Provide secretarial assistance during stakeholder engagements; Provide financial support with a compilation of training plans;
  • Provide high-level administrative support such as assistance with line function projects and activities.

Job Purpose:
The Department of Community Safety, Western Cape Government is seeking to employ an individual to lead a team to effectively monitor and oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of the Police Service. This individual must have good knowledge of Police systems and operating procedures. The position is based in Cape Town.

Minimum Requirements:
• An appropriate 3 year National Diploma/B-degree (as recognised by SAQA) with 3 years’ management experience;
• A valid driver’s licence.

Recommendation:
Experience in the following would serve as a recommendation: 

• Monitoring and evaluation of police performance;
• Financial management at supervisory level;
• Human resource management at supervisory level.

Key Performance Areas:
• Monitoring of police conduct;
• Evaluating police efficiency and effectiveness i.t.o implementing policies;
• Evaluating the implementation of Domestic Violence legislation and policies;
• Monitoring of Departmental projects;
• Implementing Special National and Provincial oversight projects;
• Observation with SAPS and Departmental Senior Management.

o Police oversight methodologies;
o Policing function at Station level;
o Monitoring and Evaluation;
• Policy Development/ formulation;
• Financial and Corporate Administration;

• Research methods.

Remuneration: R 612 822 – R 721 878 per annum – Salary level 11 (all-inclusive salary package).
